AI catalyst – from idea to working proof of concept

Everyone has opinions about AI. Nobody really has time for it.

As an external AI catalyst this is my only focus: I temporarily join your team, quickly get to the core of your business, and build your best ideas into working proof of concepts.

AI gets the dedicated knowledge and attention it never gets alongside daily operations — and within weeks you decide based on something that works.

About me

After nearly 12 years building Pixelpillow, I now help organisations as an AI catalyst. Because every day I see the same thing: plenty of ideas about AI, but very little actually gets built. Not for lack of will, but because alongside daily operations it simply never happens. Presentations and plans in abundance — working applications are a different story.

My approach is no-nonsense and practical. I temporarily join your team, pick the ideas with the most potential together with you, and build them into working proof of concepts. Not talking about what AI could do, but showing what it does for you.

I also write about AI and business. My book "Van idee naar impact" is about how AI is fundamentally changing software development. That's exactly why I believe so strongly in proof of concepts: building has become so fast and affordable that a working prototype often costs less than an advisory report.

How I like to work

Transparency matters to me. Here's what you can — and can't — expect from working together.

Don't call me for

  • An AI Content Expert

I handle the tooling and advise, but I don't write content with ChatGPT myself. Your team is much better at that.

  • Getting everyone on board

It works best when your team already feels that AI will take them further. That energy is where I can make the biggest difference.

  • Putting IT on the map

I assume technology and digitalisation are already taken seriously. Then we can get straight to the substance.

  • Endless reporting

I'd rather work with you than present to you. Reports are part of the job, but I prefer spending my time on things that create direct value.

  • Building for the boardroom

My focus is on tools and solutions that move the whole organisation forward, not pet projects for one person.

Where I add the most value

  • Hands-on collaboration

I work alongside your team and contribute directly to solutions. No detached advisor — a working partner.

  • A practical, no-nonsense approach

No thick reports that end up in a drawer — working proof of concepts you can try out immediately.

  • Focus on impact

I find the biggest opportunities and tackle them first. Results-driven, not hours-driven.

  • Honest advice

If something won't work, I'll say so. No sales talk, just an open conversation.

  • Knowledge transfer

I make sure your team can continue independently. No dependency — just making you stronger.
